Massively huge and varied. Most of the Chinese food in America is based on Cantonese food.
SOUTH KOREA
Went to a James Beard winning Korean American chef’s place (actually two) in Minneapolis. Ate at nine Korean restaurants in Rome. Went to the best Korean restaurants in Lima. Went to all the Korean restaurants in Bogota. Once made Korean cucumber kimchi. In 2014, I listed my favorite Korean places in Annandale (Koreatown), Virginia.
LAOS
The waterfalls. The town of exquisite wonders. The price of tourism. The driver with no license. The handmade paper.
MALAYSIA
Kuala Lumpur may be the best place to retire.
SINGAPORE
This would be the perfect city but the prices are cheaper in KL.
THAILAND
I’ve been a few times but this time I did touristy things.
