Yes, I ate a whole piece. My palate is not accustomed to bitter tastes so I found that bit hard to deal with but the texture and the creamy aroma were good.

In the Philippines, Davao City is the “Durian capital”. You can smell the fruit as soon as you get off the plane. And speaking of planes, I believe durian is not allowed to be hand-carried. Some people can’t dig the smell. Not me though. 🙂

As a Vietnamese, I have to say: I LOVE DURIAN! It’s really up to personal preferences but once you enjoy durian, there is no way back 🙂

In Dhaka I knew it as jack-fruit, I was never able to get past the smell.
